The Fast and Furious family expands its cast and joins the Oscar-winning Brie Larson. Through social media, Vin Diesel shared a photograph of the two laughing together to make the announcement official: “Yes, yes, yes... You see this angel on my shoulder making me laugh, you say to yourself, 'That's Captain Marvel. ' There is clearly love and laughter in this image. However, what they don't see is the character that they will introduce you to in Fast 10″.
“They have no idea how timeless and surprising it will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect... her Oscar, it's this deep soul that will add something you might not have expected, but you longed for. Welcome to the FAMILY, Brie”, added the leader of this film franchise that began its journey at the beginning of this century.
The American star also echoed the signing confirmed by his Marvel colleague with a few words of thanks. “Excited doesn't even explain how I feel about joining the Fast family. Thank you for welcoming me with such kindness and enthusiasm, Vin Diesel. I can't wait to share more (when I can),” he said.
Both actors are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UCM) together. She as Captain Marvel; and he, as the voice of Groot. However, they have never had the opportunity to perform as a team in front of the cameras before. Fast and Furious 10 aims to maintain the validity of the long-running action saga that, from the beginning, attracted a large audience of cinema interested in illegal street racing.

The new production will be directed by Justin Lin and will be released on May 19, 2023 in the US. Obviously, Vin Diesel will return to his role as Dom Toretto, and the rest of the cast will be named Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang and Charlize Theron. It was also announced earlier this year that Jason Momoa and Daniela Melchior would also join in this adventure.
This is the prelude to the long-awaited finale for the original cast of the film series, since the final conclusion will come in the eleventh installment. As Diesel had commented during the release of the previous film, the reason for dividing the story into two parts “is because there is a lot of ground to go” and there are still many places in the world to visit.
Fast and Furious 10 will focus on the latest adventures of the original team of mercenaries and competitors of auto racing on the streets. It is hoped that, in this final stretch, the family will be able to complete their last dangerous mission and close a chapter in their lives, after more than 20 years at the wheel. It is possible that the end of the franchise will give way to a kind of continuation with other new characters, but nothing is confirmed yet.
