Just a few days ago 9to5Mac said that in the updated Apple Support document it revealed ahead of time that there will be a dual USB-C 35W charger. Although there is still no release date, now the first images of the new accessory have been leaked.

The company from Cuperino, California, has not given any information on when the new dual charger (due to its two USB-C inputs) will be available on the market, however, its support page confirmed the launch of the new product, with which up to two devices can be charged in the same socket.

Although the description on Apple's support page already announced what the new charger would look like, to this day you can see the retractable plug, as well as the size of the charger, which, despite having two USB-C inputs is small.

Supposedly, the charger was already being mass-produced and will be released this 2022 in all regions. According to Apple's guru, Ming-Chi Kuo, the charger will have an innovative technology, using gallium nitride (GaN), which has allowed it to deliver a small-sized, lighter and more energy-efficient charger.

However, it is estimated that the design may vary slightly in some regions because it will have to be adapted to the different types of connectors. If the rumors are heeded, it will not take more than a few months to be sold in authorized stores.

According to the document that announced the new charger with GaN technology in advance, other specifications are:

- Input: 100—240 V/1.0 A (USB PD)

- Salida 1 o 2: 5 V CC/3 A o 9 V CC/3 A o 15 V CC/2,33 A o 20 V CC/1,75 A

After Apple's support document unveiled the new charger, it was lowered, however, it was too late for the tech media not to notice.

Last January, it was reported that Apple was working on a new design for the chargers of its laptops that would make them smaller, but also faster and more powerful in the charging process. , according to Portaltic.

The Irish manufacturer Navitas Semiconductor is one of the leading global providers of GaN-based fast charging solutions. According to Digitimes, which cited industry sources, will be responsible for manufacturing Apple's new chargers.

As far as we learned, Navitas will start production this year, while TSMC will be responsible for providing the necessary chips for GaN chargers, according to the aforementioned media outlet.

The technology used by chargers allows them to be faster and increase power, and it is found in the accessories of companies such as Xiaomi, and its 65W charger of the first half of 2020, or Lenovo, with its devices based on 60-65W charging systems from the second half of 2020.
