Fernanda Castillo, best known for playing the role of Monica Robles in The Lord of the Skies, gave an interview with Yordi Rosado in which she addressed several themes of his career, including his friendship with actor Rafael Amaya, who played Aurelio Casillas in this famous narcos novel. In the series, the characters of both were a couple, however, on previous occasions, the actress had stated that years ago she does not know anything about his life because she no longer works in that production of Telemundo.
In the interview with Yordi, she opened up about the situation that her partner experienced during the recordings of The Lord of the Skies, she mentioned that the workload and what was around Rafael Amaya's character was too much pressure for him, adding that he always wanted him to be fine and that he loved him very much. “I worked with Rafa for five years, he was my friend and someone I love. We have many things in common and I know he loves me very much.”
The actor has been very frank about the rumors of his addictions. He has already explained that because of this situation he had to abandon the famous character of Aurelio Casillas in 2018 and move away from acting for a long period. He told in an interview that he had lost his inner peace, love for his family, for his work and with it he immersed himself in alcohol and drugs. At the time, the Mexican regional singer Roberto Tapia made statements about the rehabilitation of Rafael Amaya and confirmed that the influence of his character was a cause for him to fall in the additions.
Rafael Amaya is currently rehabilitated and doing new projects. On April 10, he shared through his social networks his participation as a host at the Latin American Music Awards 2022 ceremony together with Jacky Bracamontes and Cristian de la Fuente, next Thursday, April 21 in Las Vegas.
For her part, Fernanda Castillo concluded her interview with the emotion that she is now being called to star in various films, since on several occasions she has expressed how hard it was for her to get to where she is due to the stereotypes imposed in the industry that prevented her from taking relevant roles. She also added that her current partner supports her unconditionally in all her projects, respects her and they have excellent communication.
Through Instagram she posted her recent collaboration with the magazine Marie Claire in which she had a cover that celebrates the communion of her love and her return to the theater with the play Seven Times Goodbye, which is a musical presented at the Ramiro Jiménez Theater. “It is a very powerful work and this time I love it, because the one who writes and directs it is Alan Estrada and they talk about love from different perspectives. It is a hybrid of spectacle that has a lot of power and that I haven't been on stage for a long time so convinced that I wanted to tell about it.”
