The mayor's office of Bogotá reported how the peak and license plate will govern for private vehicles during this Holy Week, from April 11 to 17 in Bogotá. The measure applies from Monday to Wednesday between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., according to the last digit of your vehicle's license plate, and on Sunday, April 17, there will be a regional peak and plate for entry to the Colombian capital.

“This weekend the Exodus Plan begins. We recommend that you plan your trip ahead of time and keep in mind that on Sunday, April 17 there will be Pico and Placa Regional to enter Bogotá. Remember, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. only PAIRS will enter and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. the odd ones,” said the Mobility Secretariat on Twitter.

Keep in mind that vehicles with license plates ending in 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 cannot be driven on even days; and on odd days, vehicles whose license plates end in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 cannot be moved; as follows:

The vehicle restriction for this Holy Week, from April 11 to 17 will work like this:

- Monday, April 11: Restriction for plates finished in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9.

- Tuesday, April 12: Restriction for plates ending in 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8.

- Wednesday, April 13: Restriction for plates finished in 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9.

- Holy Thursday April 14: There is NO peak and plaque because it is a holiday.

- Good Friday April 15: There is NO peak and plaque because it is a holiday.

Considering that a large number of vehicles will leave the city during Easter and that the Return Plan will take place between Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 April, with a large number of vehicles, the Mayor of Bogotá informed that the regional peak and plate measure will be applied on Sunday, April 17.

In this way, from 12 noon to 4:00 in the afternoon, only vehicles with a license plate ending in an even number can enter the city; while from 4:00 in the afternoon to 8:00 in the evening private vehicles with the last digit of the license plate ending in an odd number will be able to enter the city.

The mayor, Claudia López, reported that, taking into account data from the Bogotá Mobility Secretariat, during the Easter Exodus Plan, more than 760,000 vehicles will leave the city staggered.

“There will be free admission, without license plate restriction, on the morning of Holy Sunday, until 12 noon. From noon until 4:00 p.m. only vehicles with even license plates (0-2-4-6-8) may enter the city of Bogotá; from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., vehicles with odd license plates (1-3-5-7-9) can enter the city,” explained the president of the capital.

He also highlighted the fact that the measure, which began to apply in the city's road corridors in January 2022, has yielded great results in terms of mobility for the city: “It has allowed people to return peacefully, with less accidents, with greater flow, with adequate speed and in a more comfortable way.”
