Dante Delgado, national coordinator of Movimiento Ciudadano (MC), came to participate in the Revocation of the Mandate of the State of Veracruz, since it was in the city of Xalapa that the senator had to participate; however, what was relevant was the casting of his vote and a which he dedicated to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).
In the first place, Delgado Rannauro went to cancel his vote, as did López Obrador, except that unlike the head of the federal executive, the leader of the orange party ruled on Sunday, April 10, that this advisory exercise is a theater that simulates the ratification of the mandate, rather than the revocation.
“Today I came to cancel my vote because it seems absurd to me that a constitutional tool that should allow citizens to exercise their right to revoke rulers who betray their trust is being used by the Government and Morena to set up a theater to reduce a citizen's right to a pantomime, to simulate a ' ratification' with the sole purpose of satisfying, once again, the vanity of the President of the Republic”, declared the politician.
In addition to this, Dante Delgado dedicated a message to AMLO, in which he assured that the exercise of the Revocation of Mandate violates the rule of law, a situation that, he said, judged by citizens over time.
“López Obrador, this new raving of yours violates the rule of law, offends the law and the Republic. Be clear that your whim, which also cost billions of pesos to the country, will not go unnoticed,” said the MC legislator.
Together with the Citizen Movement, the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) announced that its political organization will request the cancellation of the consultative exercise, this by various irregularities that occurred before and during the day, this was voiced by Ángel Ávila, representative of the party before the INE.
Ángel Ávila, was the representative of the PRD to the INE who announced the measure that her party will request due to various irregularities that occurred before and during the day. During a series of statements he made to the media, he said that “this process will mean a before and after in the electoral processes,” and therefore warned that there must be a precedent that condemns the intervention of the federal government.
“We are seeing, in this electoral process, the brazen intervention of the president of the republic in electoral processes, as well as his officials,” said the yellow party activist.
To justify his intention, Avila recalled when the President of the Republic ironized the opposition's position and declared “don't come to me with the story that the law is the law” during a morning that dealt with the issue of the revocation of the mandate. In this regard, he said that it is contradictory that it is the president who says that, since on December 1, 2018 he swore to protect and respect the Constitution.
In addition to this, he recalled the time when Adán Augusto López Hernández, head of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), allegedly used resources from the National Defense to attend an event and promote the Revocation of Mandate, this because he mobilized in a Guardia Nacional (NG) plane to Sonora, participated in a political event and said “don't listen to the INE advisors, they're leaving.”
“What will these Mexicans feel when they see that the public budget allocated to the security of the National Guard is being used for electoral processes,” Ávila said.
