The absurd lack of Soteldo and Hugo Ayala that caused their expulsions from Querétaro vs Tigres

Miguel Herrera had to reformulate his strategy because he played with nine elements in La Corregidora. Despite this, he managed to win with the least advantage of a goal.

During the match of Matchday 13 of the Liga MX between Querétaro and Tigres, the team led by Miguel Herrera quickly got 9 elements as Hugo Ayala was expelled in the 36th minute of the match and later at 76th Yeferson Soteldo left the court.

Although both expulsions followed the rules of the Liga MX, they could have been avoided. In the case of Hugo Ayala, having left his leg straight in an offensive play caused the whistler to call it violent.

While in the case of Yeferson, for his celebration of the goal that scored the 1-0 of the match, the whistle admonished him and due to the accumulation of yellow cards he went to the showers before the end of the 90-minute game.

In a defensive play by the felinos, Hugo Ayala tried to stop Jose Angulo, striker of Los Gallos Blancos; when both entered the small area, Ayala swept to stop the Ecuadorian's career.

However, the way in which he defended the football player auriazul was not the right one and he took the red card. After the failed sweep, he left his right leg straight, because of the speed with which the move was made, Ayala managed to hit José Angulo's face.

The main whistler let the play run, even though he was close to the play he did not score anything. It was until the VAR called him to review the play and reconsider the situation; he analyzed the moment when Hugo left his right leg extended, as there was no longer a ball in between, the action was described as excessively violent, so he was shown the red card.

The claims were not long in coming as Piojo Herrera began a dialogue with the central referee because he did not think of the decision he made. Herrera's anger increased, so the party judge also admonished Tigres's helmsman with a yellow one.
