On 10 April, World Science and Technology Day is celebrated to celebrate the development of great innovations and research work.

This date was developed by UNESCO in 1982, honoring Dr. Bernardo Houssay, who was an Argentine doctor and pharmacist. Simple and common tools were transformed into machines that facilitated automation.

All these technological trends will be integrated into the development not only of Peru, but also of the world.

Remember that technology continues to advance today and continues to make life easier for people, that is why, below we will show you what are the technological trends for this 2022:

1. Metaverse:

Facebook changed its name to Meta. This is a new virtual universe called a metaverse.

The metaverse is a three-dimensional virtual space where people can log in using avatars in order to socialize, work, shop, collaborate or play with another person. Many companies are investing in novel technologies to bring the metaverse to life, such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).

There is real estate in this universe, which reached $501 million last year and as of this year the Metaverse already has a revenue of $85 million this year, according to MetaMetric Solutions.

2. Educational technology, known as edtech:

Educational technology (edtech) is already part of people's daily lives and although it appeared with the COVID-19 pandemic, different educational companies affirmed that this method of study will be maintained and greater technological tools will be used to improve it.

Innovation in online education software and video conferencing technologies to give students access to teachers and courses. AI personalizes coursework, tracks each student's learning styles, provides reports on their progress, and automates grading.

3. Telehealth:

Telehealth is a technological trend that will continue this year and is probably here to stay. There is an increase in investment in these services that came because of the pandemic and the social distancing generated by the onset of COVID-19.

At present, devices have been created that remotely monitor diagnostics, evaluations, doctor's and patient's consultation.

There are other types of technologies that improve interactions with non-contact patients and these include telemedicine robots and surgical robots.

Machine learning algorithms are also being applied to the field of telehealth. AI can scan data to select patients who should enroll in telehealth programs and send alerts if a patient's health metrics exceed a predefined threshold. As a result, doctors can have better control over a patient's daily treatment.

4. Cyber security:

Although it has been around for a while, cybersecurity is still evolving like other technologies and is likely to continue to do so over the years, as new threats emerge. Hackers are still trying to illegally access the personal and private data of companies and individuals. During 2021, according to Cybersecurity Ventures, there were 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs.

5. 5G signal:

There is currently the 360-degree antenna, which helps to have a reliable and stable connection, but this would be more optimal with the 5G signal and various telephone companies, both signal and mobile devices, have been integrating this network into their services and products.

6. Camera that can take professional photos and videos in full darkness:

Smartphones are undoubtedly the most used technological products by people and although their usefulness over the past two years has focused on capturing a good signal to receive or teach classes, the other functions have been improved. That is the case with cameras, before it was unlikely to be able to capture good photo or video shots in the dark; however, today it is possible on any latest-end smartphone. And this without losing the quality of the video or image.

7. Fast charging of your mobile phone in a few minutes:

The battery in cell phones is of great importance, since a cell phone without a battery simply does not work. But the rapid discharge when using this device is what has kept thousands of users worried; however, with the advancement of technology today there is the fast charging service that can finish charging the computer in a matter of minutes.

8. Smart watches in charge of your sleep:

Health is of great importance to humans and even more so if we deal with such a fast-paced world in which time practically does not wait. Smart devices can even be in a very small accessory such as a smartwatch. Through this smartwatch we can see how our health is doing and fully and personalize our routine, sleep, among other things.
