The actor of 911: Lone Star, Rob Lowe is back. We will see him with his son John Owen in the series Unstable that is being produced for Netflix.
Rob Lowe belonged to a generation of actors who began their careers as the classic heartthrobs of romantic comedies and managed to make their own way beyond their physical appearance. The 58-year-old actor knew how to be the boy of the moment in the 80s, a place he shared with other colleagues such as Tom Cruise and Kevin Costner.
In 1991 he married makeup artist Sheryl Berkoff and from that relationship two children were born and one of them, John Owen Lowe, decided to follow in his father's footsteps and became an actor. The resemblance between the two impresses at first sight. After having shared a lineup in several series and also films, a new project brings them together again. Apparently, John Owen doesn't stop meddling on Rob's social media because he thinks his father should improve his posts. In fact, the series and this project, arises from the fun interaction that both have on Instagram.
This is the new fiction for Netflix called Unstable, a comedy in the format of a series that will tell the life of an introverted and shy son who makes the decision to work with his somewhat eccentric father to save him from total collapse. Set in a cutting-edge biotechnology research company, Ustable travels through life this son and father. A little while taking the relationship between the two as a starting point, the series will move smoothly between this family bond that is tense at times and at other times inspiring.
Victor Fresco is the Unstable showrunner who previously worked on Drew Barrymore's Santa Clarita Diet series. Tracey Palosta, director of Netflix's comedy area, referred to this new project by the Lowe family and said: “We are very excited to be working with Victor, Rob and John Owen. The three of them, and their intelligent and wildly funny sensibilities, fit perfectly into our growing list of scripted comedies.”
Let's remember that Rob Lowe is still part of the cast of Star+'s spin-off 911: Lone Star (where he is also a producer for the third season), while his son John Owen was part of The Grinder (where he shared his work with his father), and also participated in Holiday in the Wild (Holidays in Nature) . He was also the protagonist and producer of the independent film Grace Point.
