Falcao still doesn't train with Rayo Vallecano and misses another LaLiga match

Today, at 9:00 p.m., local time, the Madrid team will host Valencia without the presence of the Colombian striker

Colombian striker Radamel Falcao, who is recovering from a muscle injury, will not play against Valencia after remaining out and not having joined the work dynamics of his teammates, as Rayo Vallecano technical director Andoni Iraola confirmed this Sunday.

Falcao has been carrying a muscle injury in a twin for six weeks, he is still on the sidelines of the group and his return is waiting for him to improve from those discomfort that have kept him from playing since February 26 against Real Madrid.

“Falcao is injured and is going to stay out. We don't usually put medical parts, but he hasn't trained with the group yet and for tomorrow's match we won't be able to count on him,” Iraola said at a press conference after the afternoon training.

The muscular injury suffered by the Colombian is not allowing him to enjoy continuity in 2022 and, for the time being, prevented him from playing the historic second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals against Betis and the last four league matches against Cadiz, Seville, Atlético de Madrid and Granada.

Falcao's loss is a major setback for Andoni Iraola, as the Madrid team is going through a serious crisis with the goal. In the eleven league matches that have been played in 2022, he has not won any and has scored only five goals.

This Monday, for matchday 31 of LaLiga, Rayo Vallecano will host Valencia at 9:00pm Spain time. So far, the Vallecas team is in the 13th place in the standings with 33 points; while Valencia is in the ninth place with 41 points.

This muscle injury suffered by the Colombian has already prevented him from playing in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals against Betis and the last two league matches against Cadiz and Sevilla.

It will also prevent him from playing a special match against Atlético de Madrid, where he played for two seasons, from 2011 to 2013, and with which he scored 70 goals in 91 matches.

Falcao has played 20 official matches this season with Rayo, eight as the starter, and scored five goals in 769 minutes of play. In addition, he has been unscored for twelve matches, played this season 20 official matches with Rayo, eight as the starter, and scored five goals.
