The return of Televisa's great classics continues to be the company's main commitment to recover the Mexican public as well as attract new users. Now in conjunction with Univision, it was announced at the end of 2021 that the melodrama La Madrastra will return and a month after the start of her recordings, the rumor that Aracely Arambula will be the protagonist has gained strength after her recent visit to the San Ángel television station.
The actress was caught on the cameras of the morning Today and although she did not want to touch the subject in depth or mention whether her surprise project is the production that brought Victoria Ruffo great popularity, she did say that she has something in her hands that soon her followers who have asked her to return to the world of soap operas at last will have.
“I talk about everything and I like to comment on everything I want to do, I still don't want to tell you much about this project because it's a surprise, but hey there are very nice things”, he said to the reporters subtle way of asking him about the new version of the melodrama, which unlike the other productions of “Los nuevos refried” will have 45 episodes and no longer 25, as happened with Cuna de Lobos (in 2019 with Paz Vega as Catalina Creel), La Usurpadora (the popular twins played by Sandra Echeverria) and Rubí (with Camila Sodi).
What is known about the new version that will be in charge of Fábrica de Sueños, franchise and anthology of Televisa's dramatic television series. The project consists of updating the most successful classic soap operas, initially in short formats of 25 episodes, but apparently this will be the first adaptation with the most content. The producer in charge of carrying out the new classic is Carmen Armendáriz, so she even made sure that her last visit was to read the libretto and advances that the production has.
It was commented on social networks and on various YouTube channels dedicated to the top Mexican television product that among the candidates to star in this soap opera are Leticia Calderón and Yadhira Carrillo, but everything indicates that La Chule will star in the classic that consecrated Victoria Ruffo 17 years ago, and some time ago, in the 80s, to Angelica Aragon.
The last time Aracely Arámbula worked on a Televisa project was in 2009 when she starred in the soap opera Corazón Salvaje, in which she shared credit with Eduardo Yáñez, although she had already participated in major productions such as Soñadoras (1998), Embrázame Muy Fuerte (2000) and Las Vias del Amor (2002) alongside Jorge Salinas and the late first actor Enrique Rocha. After that, Aracely moved to work in the United States where she was the protagonist of The Patron Saint, The Doña and The Lord of the Skies. Last year it seemed that he would return to the San Ángel television station but in the end the project did not materialize.
Although there was a previous version, the Mexican telenovela produced by Salvador Mejía in 2005 turns out to be the cultural reference for most Mexicans. It is a new version of the story of the same name by Chilean playwright Arturo Moya Grau, under the free adaptation of screenwriter and actress Liliana Abud. It is considered one of the five most successful Televisa soap operas of all time, said by the same company.
Vivir a poco was produced by Valentín Pimstein between July 29, 1985 and March 14, 1986; it starred Angelica Aragon and Rogelio Guerra. Although it did not bear the same title it is the same story.
