Former footballer Faustino 'Tino' Asprilla published this Sunday, April 10, a trill on social networks in which he said that the authorities captured one of the four men who stormed his farm, located in San Jerónimo (Tuluá).
In the triune, Asprilla showed the face of the alleged thief and invited Colombians to report whether they become victims of robberies and other crimes.
El Tino added: “I also want to invite all people, so that they do not remain silent in the face of such acts, to denounce in order to mitigate this stormy scourge that our country, our beloved Colombia, is experiencing”
On March 13, the ESPN panelist told his followers on Twitter how he became a new victim of insecurity, after gunmen entered one of his farms.
According to the publication, there were four criminals who entered the property and took everything in their path while they had abducted their workers, elderly people, whom they had physically and verbally assaulted.
“This afternoon, at my San Jerónimo farm in Tuluá (Valle del Cauca), four men came in armed, assaulted and gagged the people who help us with the care of the house, and they are already older adults. They vacated the house and took tools, household items and personal things of the people who help us,” the player said at the time.
Likewise, 'Tino' Asprilla let it be known that he has already filed the corresponding complaint with the authorities, but he also appealed to the solidarity of those who follow him and who have some information about it, give it to them in exchange for a good reward.
“If you have any information, send us messages to the DM and we will communicate. A reward will be given to find the whereabouts of these people,” he added.
Reactions to what was said by the former Parma player from Italy aroused immediately. Hundreds of Internet users were concerned about the insecurity in Valle del Cauca, a situation that not only has citizens on fire, but also businessmen and large unions, who view with uncertainty the lack of responses from the authorities and the actions of criminals in the department.
After the robbery became known, Tino' appeared on the program 'I know everything', on Channel 1, and revealed more details of what happened. According to his account, it was the fifth time that criminals entered to rob that estate in their native Tuluá: “They put a gun to the head of the butler, the person who is there. They even threatened him, that if he didn't hand things over, they would go after the children.”
Following this, the historical reference of the Colombian national team confessed that he is not usually on his farm due to various commitments; but, if he is present, he declared that he was not intimidated by the presence of the robbers: “Someday they will find me on the farm and they will surely have to kill me, because I am not going to let myself be robbed”.
