The governor of Nuevo León, Samuel Garcia, and his wife Mariana Rodríguez mourned the murder of Maria Fernanda Conteras Ruiz, a young man who was reported missing after attending a meeting with a group of friends.

Through his social networks, the state president said he was “full of indignation” after the Attorney General's Office reported that the genetic tests that were carried out on a body that was in a dwelling in the Circuito de las Fincas street, Exhacienda de Santa Rosa neighborhood, showed that it corresponded to that of Maria Fernanda.

I didn't say anything before because in the face of a missing woman, there are plenty of words. I have been in constant contact with the Prosecutor's Office since day one and I assure you that we will continue to work with the Prosecutor and do everything necessary to ensure that the full weight of the law falls on those responsible. To the family and friends of María Fernanda, from the heart, I am sorry,” wrote the regional governor of Montano.

For her art, Mariana Rodríguez wrote: “I am angry because I don't know what one person must have in their head to decide to take the life of another; because being a woman has become a risk in this country and it shouldn't be that way.”

Likewise, the influencer said she was sad about the grief faced by the young woman's family. However, he also said he was afraid of the rates of violence that threaten the country, since, according to his statements, “they are dehumanizing us”.

I think we all need more love and respect, we can't let the world go on like this. I will continue to help and do what I can, to change this reality. From here, with all due respect, I demand that justice be done and that the final consequences be reached,” he added.

The Prosecutor's Office reported on the results of the corresponding studies through its official Twitter account, however, they have not reported any progress in the investigation for the search for the person or persons responsible for femicide.

“After having learned to her family about the results of the genetic tests, we are able to officially confirm that María Fernanda Contreras Ruiz is the lifeless person found in the search conducted on April 7. Rest in peace”, the statement read.

According to information from the family, on Sunday, April 3, María Fernanda met with a group of friends in Zona Tec, a place located south of the municipality of Monterrey. At the end, he reported that he would go to the municipality of Apodaca, located 13 kilometers away from the aforementioned place, to see a vehicle. According to the half-millennium, the young woman came with a companion who has not yet been located.

Luis Carlos Contreras, father of María Fernanda, found that his daughter and a friend of hers did indeed come to see the car, a situation that would have been verified by the Prosecutor's Office. Then, between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, he reported to his family to warn that he would be on his way back home. However, moments later they lost all kinds of contact and did not reach their home.

The lack of communication alerted María Fernanda's loved ones, so they launched a social media campaign to achieve their localization. On Monday, April 4, a day later, the FGE released a search form.
