After months of absence due to the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, several of the cultural spaces are in the midst of their reactivation. For a few days now, in addition to the announcements of the return of several of the most important events in Bogotá, the presence of some of the artists who will be performing in the Colombian capital has already been confirmed. As announced by Idartes, Salsa is approaching the Park, which will take place from June 4 and 5; followed by the 25th anniversary of Hip Hop to the Park, from July 2 and 3; Jaz to the Park, from September 17 and 18; and Rock to the Park, which will have four days in its 2022 edition, on November 26 and 27 and December 3 and 4.
“Festivals to the Park have always been characterized by bringing a musical offer to the public that they will not be able to find in any other major festival in the city and in exploring far beyond the commercial circuits, to make programmes that show the different musical aspects of today, but also bring the the memory of the sounds that have built its history and that of the guests' countries”, says Catalina Valencia, director of Idartes.
This year the first Festival al Parque was held with Colombia al Parque. The event was attended by more than 22,000 people according to official figures from Idartes. “It is a joy for me, a pride to see the faces and dances of a city eager for music, art and encounter. Thank you Bogotá, thanks to the arts and music. Thanks to all the Idartes team who worked tirelessly so that the people of Bogota could return music to the open air, massive and with free access. Thanks to our district, national and international artists for filling the soul of the stage again. Art and medicine of the soul of Bogotá and this country. I have this heart swollen”, commented the director of the entity at the time.
