Demián Bichir expressed support for AMLO for the Mandate Revocation: “You are not alone, President”

A few hours before the Mandate Revocation exercise began, actor Demián Bichir reaffirmed his support for President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).

“To finish the task. @lopezobrador_ stays. You're not alone, President.” , Bichir wrote on his official Twitter account this April 10, it should be recalled that the democratic exercise of Mandate Revocation aims to decide whether AMLO will remain in the presidency until the end of his term or will have to leave office early.

Although he did not publish the photo of his finger painted in the ink that is placed in the votes or any image alluding to himself, Bichir's tweet made it clear that he will go to his corresponding box to vote for President López Obrador to remain in the presidency.

His message garnered more than 18 thousand likes within this social network and aroused all kinds of opinions. While some of the actor's fans agreed with his stance on this democratic exercise, others ranted against the Mexican government in comments such as “What task? If he's going to stay anyway? Why spend on such a false exercise?”

The actor did not reply to any of the tweets and did not announce that he had already participated in the democratic exercise, he simply shared on his Instagram account a message for Sergio Checo Pérez after his career at the Australian GP. “Incredible way to overtake drivers and position themselves on the podium,” he wrote.

The question that will be answered on the ballots is: Do you agree that Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President of the United Mexican States, should his mandate be revoked due to loss of confidence or remain in the Presidency of the Republic until the end of his term? In this way, people will be able to go to the various boxes installed by the National Electoral Institute (INE).

This is not the first time that Demian Bichir has demonstrated his support for López Obrador, as in 2020, he posted a video on his YouTube channel and has made several statements in favor of the president since 2018.

In that video, Demián stated that he does not like Mexico that “they left us for 50 years”, making it clear that it is a “dump”, that it is necessary to clean up everything that was done before to re-create roads and it will not be enough 6 years to recover the entire country:

“You try one day, because I see that your office is impeccably well ordered, try one day to disarrange everything, not clean anything, not make your bed, not wash your dishes or lay out your bed. One day, one week, now imagine decades... how long it will take you to collect all that after decades... and I'm talking about serious things... How rich will Mexico be that they haven't been able to finish it? ”, he said.

On the other hand, when in 2021 President Andrés Manuel López Obrador stated that he had recovered from COVID-19 and was about to return to his activities, actor Demián Bichir sent him a message of support for the 4T call and endorsed his sympathy for the Tabasco politician.

The story, remembered for his participation in Mexican telenovelas and films such as La Monja or Alien: Covenant, used his Twitter account to express his happiness at the recovery of the Mexican president.

“Forza presidente @lopezobrador_ What a pleasure that he is recovering so quickly,” the actor wrote on his social media account.

Despite his sympathy, Bichir accepted that there is a lot of work for the López Obrador administration: “So much remains to be done. A lot is missing @A_Encinas_R @alefrausto. Here we are still millions of Mexicans pushing hard. #FuerzaPresidente”.
