A cell of at least 10 men from the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) was exhibited in alleged purchases at an Oxxo store, allegedly somewhere in Michoacán, with complete peace of mind not being disturbed by the authorities.
One of the members of the criminal group documented how his colleagues went to the convenience store in the middle of the night, next to a stretch of road. Ironically, the subject who recorded with a cell phone commented that they went to stock the pantry.
“Greetings, you are going to Meridian Acts, boys, pure four letters, crazy; we come to do the household shopping,” said the guy who wore tactical equipment and carried a rifle reserved for the Armed Forces, as did the other members of the CJNG.
From the outskirts he captured that everyone was traveling in a pick-up truck with strobe beacons, as if they were police patrols, ministerial agency vehicles or bodyguards. While some were watching, others went into the store to choose the products.
Authorities have not reported any reports of theft by organized crime for an Oxxo store in the state, so it is not clear whether the members of the CJNG actually paid for what they bought or simply harnessed their power to take whatever they wanted by being armed in front of defenseless employees.
A local worker explained that they only had one of the items and/or brands available about what was required, while others gathered together with her to choose more things. Despite the intimidating display, the saleswoman and her team in the store did not seem disturbed.
The unit in which they were going was with the doors open, turned off, but with the driver in the seat, while the others were in the vicinity of the parking lot and next to it there was the traffic of vehicles and motorcycles.
The member of the forces of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, the Mencho, asked his colleagues to send greetings to the camera, even shouting at them in the distance by their nicknames, but the supposed buyers kept asking about what they needed in the background, in front of the coffee machines.
