DON'T HAVE YOUR ID AND NEED TO TRAVEL?

There are different scenarios that you may face related to your ID card, such as: if it has been stolen, it has been lost and you cannot find it or you are starting the renewal process and it has not yet been handed over to you, among others.

In that instance in which we do not have our National Identity Document, what can we do? What you should know is that you require an official identification in which your personal data is registered.

According to a publication from Jorge Chavez International Airport, if you don't take it with you, these are the documents that are considered valid for travel

1. National Identity Document (DNI) Passport, Aliens Card.

2. Driver's License issued by the Peruvian Ministry of Transport and Communications.

3. In the case of minors, Birth Certificates or Birth Certificates are accepted.

4. In exceptional cases (if the above-mentioned documents are not available) the original Certificate of Registration issued by RENIEC will be accepted only for domestic flights.

Any of these must be accompanied by the boarding pass issued by the airline you chose.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BEFORE TRAVELING

In the midst of the pandemic, Lima Airport presented a series of tips for travelers who will fly in the middle of this scenario that has affected the world. Pay close attention:

1. Travel light and avoid delays.

2. Do not forget that the use of a mask is mandatory. Double mask or one mask with high filtration capacity (N95, KN95, FFP2 and KF94) is allowed.

3. Do not go to the airport with escorts, except for people who need special assistance.

4. If you have any symptoms related to COVID-19 or physical discomfort, do not go to the airport. Contact your airline to reschedule your flight.

5. Any object considered dangerous for cabin flight, in accordance with the regulations of the Civil Aeronautical Authority of Peru.

PROTOCOL TO ENTER THE AIRPORT

- All passengers must wear a mask at all times.

- All passengers need to show their ID, boarding pass or travel reservation to enter, preferably electronically.
