Ricardo Gareca and Martín Liberman recently had a pleasant conversation where they showed their ways of thinking and their positions on various points. In one of the many issues that took place, where they also talked about the Peruvian national team and the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers, the Argentine coach mentioned that he believes in the ability of the South American footballer and what to say that in Europe are the best is “very simplistic”.

The 'Tiger' first acknowledged that this continent clearly takes the warmest ones, but then commented: “It's very basic because there are great players in Europe, maybe they will take the best, but the difference is not that significant,” he said in the interview published on Youtube by the official account of communicator.

The strategist then used analogies to try to explain his position and try to convince him of his idea. “It's like telling you that European journalists are better than you, simply because they live in Europe. Or that they have more capacity for analysis or more resources, just because you are South American or you are working in South America,” he stressed.

“It's like saying that the best architects build you in New York, in Dubai... and well, they have an international reputation, but you arrive in Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Quito and there are spectacular buildings, spectacular architects too. Not only because they are in one place they are the best,” he said, continuing with the analogies.

This position of Ricardo Gareca was born from different opinions of the Argentine journalist, where he always commented that Europe, European footballers and everything that is done on that continent is much better than in America. Emphasizing that they have several years of advantage in level.
