On Friday afternoon, an abandoned vehicle was reported, suspected of having explosives on the Rionegro-El Tablazo section, next to José María Córdova International Airport (Antioquia), where the President of the Republic, Iván Duque, arrived for a business event.

The Metropolitan Police closed the passage at Las Torres, near the airport, and confirmed with technology and anti-explosive dogs that the vehicle did not pose a threat, in this area of the municipality.

Brigadier General Gustavo Franco Gómez, commander of Police Region 6, explained that units of the National Police that were developing patrols found this vehicle abandoned, so the standardized, technical and professional procedure was applied for these cases.

Through social networks, a video was shared that shows how the vehicle's windows were exploded during the inspection.

According to the airport operator José María Córdova, Airplan, during the verification process, four flights were diverted to Bogotá.

President Iván Duque was there during the delivery of 8 kilometers of work, such as the one exchanged overhead, between Rionegro and Llanogrande, which connects with the main roads surrounding the project, including those that lead to San Antonio del Prado.

On Friday, the President of Colombia, Iván Duque, reported that he had instructed the Minister of the Interior, Daniel Palacios, to carry out an external audit of the software used in the National Civil Status Registry to select the voting juries that were chosen for the election day of Congress last Sunday, March 13.

On the Caracol Radio station, they reported that the president reiterated that during those elections protuberant errors were made and that it would again be called to install the Guarantee Board, so that the audit could also be requested.

“Some facts were presented that really mark historical themes. The number of votes that were in dispute shows that there are flaws, and that is why it is the call for an exhaustive external audit of the jury selection software; to specify which databases were used and where they came from, because there are protruding errors in those 600,000 votes that were used in reality are inexplicable”, they quoted on the radio about what Duque said.

Meanwhile, on RCN Radio they stressed that the president also seeks to assess what failures were made in the training of these people, prior to the vote.

“What happened to the way in which the precount was transmitted, with the E14 forms and other than that, an in-depth study from the technological point of view is also carried out on the Software that is being used today by the National Electoral Council for the purposes of the scrutiny of its competence,” he concluded.
