Fernanda Castillo remembered when she thought she would die after giving birth

Fernanda Castillo and Erik Hayser saw their young son Liam born on December 19, 2020, however, the actress experienced serious health complications after childbirth and came to believe that she would die and leave her family incomplete.

“It was a time when we didn't know if we were going to be able to remain a family and I am very proud to be here,” the actress said to Sale el Sol.

Three weeks after giving birth, Fernanda Castillo suffered an obstetric hemorrhage that almost cost her life, so she had to be hospitalized and he even had two heart attacks that weakened most of his organs.

The serious health crisis that the actress experienced led her to prepare for the worst-case scenario, however, it was the connection with her son Liam that motivated her to stay alive.

“A connection up there (in heaven) and I think a connection with my son. There is someone who heard: 'No, it has to be here for this child to grow up with her',” she said visibly moved on the Imagen Televisión program.

This is not the first time he has expressed his motivation to stay with his partner Erik Hayser and his son, because on May 10, he wrote a message on his Instagram where she explained that she couldn't get away from her baby before she started talking.

“When life tested us, you helped me get back, Liam. I just thought I couldn't leave without hearing you call me MOM one day. I embrace moms for the first time (like me) on this our first Mother's Day!” , could be read in the message.

Finally, she tearfully recounted that her motherhood is full of love for her son and assured that becoming her mother is the best thing that ever happened to her:

“He has made me feel that I am stronger than I imagined, that I am more special than I imagined, he has made me feel that I am the best because I am his mother, because he chose me and he is such a special child (...) It excites me, it makes me feel, it's like fresh air and it's like a squeeze for the heart. It's the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me. Being the mother of this child, who I also feel is such a special child, is the best thing that ever happened to me,” she shared.

On the other hand, Fernanda Castillo explained that she will do her best to be an admirable person for her son: “I hope you remember me as an example of a good human being, that seems more important to me than anything else,” she said.

This is why he recently decided to show love for his son and at the same time, to raise his voice against violating the rights of children, through his Instagram account, he wrote a message to raise awareness among his followers about the prevention of child sexual abuse.
