Therefore, one option is to travel to Punta Sal, located in the north of the country, specifically in Tumbes. Do you dare?
It is true that the state of emergency of the National Road Network will generate complications, but it is important to point out that the measure will not affect land transport companies or tourists traveling on the roads. According to the Peruvian National Police (PNP), this measure will not affect people who move and are leisurely sightseeing, as it is specifically aimed at “people who are blocking the roads and causing serious disruption of order.”

HOW TO GET TO PUNTA SAL?
According to Peru Travel, there are two routes to Punta Sal, located in Zorritos. The first is to take a flight from Lima to Tumbes, which will take approximately 1h 50 minutes, the second is a 20-hour journey by bus or car.
The attraction of the place is the soft waves that invite you to sail in canoes or motorcycles, and top quality hotels await the visitor, who can also dive, fish and, if you wish, camp on its paradisiacal beaches of fine white sand.
Another way to get to Punta is from Tumbes airport where you will take a taxi that will charge you S/120 to Punta Sal. If it is Piura airport, you will have to take a minibus to Máncora, which takes about 2 and a half hours, and from there a taxi to Punta Sal that charges on average, S/30. Alternatively, take a direct taxi to Punta Sal which is S/250.
By bus, from Máncora you can take a taxi to Punta Sal (S/30) which takes 20 or 30 minutes. If it is from Piura, it is easier since there is a direct route.

Two of them include Punta Sal and have the “Save Travels” seal, a recognition granted to destinations and tourism service providers that comply with the health protocols, designed by WHO, thus guaranteeing the safety of travelers.
First option:
The first is a promotion called “Enjoy Whale Watching”, at 297 soles, which has categories of visits to whales and some beaches in Tumbes. This is what the schedule says:
- Whale watching starts 4:00am.
- Ends 04:00pm at your hotel Playa Los Órganos and whale watching for 4 hours.
- Playa Máncora: buy handicrafts, souvenirs and enjoy the beach.
- Punta Sal Beach: enjoy the beach, buy handicrafts and gastronomy.
The offer does not include food, but it does include roundtrip transportation from the hotel using an H1 Minivan for 11 passengers. It is important that children from 5 years old do pay normal rate, minimum 6 people and a shared tour.
Second option:
The other alternative is a 1-day tour to go to the Plaza “El pescador” in Zorritos. Punta Sal, Mancora and Los Organos. The cost is 139 soles, the price includes General Sales Tax (IGV). Children from 5 to 9 years old pay S/. 119. The best thing is that you can enjoy its warm waters and buy handicrafts.
