This Friday, April 8, the draw was held to play the round of 16 of the 2022 BetPlay Cup to define the successor of the championship that Atlético Nacional defends.
Phases I and II of the competition have already been played with all the teams of the second division participating, in addition to Independiente Santa Fe, Deportivo Pereira, Jaguares de Córdoba, Atlético Bucaramanga, Union Magdalena, Cortuluá, Patriotas, Once Caldas, Deportivo Pasto, Rionegro Águilas, Alianza Petrolera and Envigado F.C.
In the preliminary phase, Independiente Santa Fe was the only big team fighting for a spot in the top 16 round. With their 3-0 at home against Deportivo Pasto, the cardinal club settled in the round of 16 along with the other traditional teams of the local rented who entered to compete on merit after having qualified for the Copa Conmebol Libertadores and Copa Conmebol Sudamericana, that is: Deportes Tolima, Deportivo Cali, Atlético Nacional, Millonarios FC, Deportivo Independiente Medellin (DIM), Junior from Barranquilla, America from Cali and La Equidad.
In the previous keys, the qualifiers were: Unión Magdalena, Fortaleza, Tigres, Once Caldas, Santa Fe, Jaguares and Bucaramanga. Only one pending crossing remains, exactly that of Rionegro Águilas against Deportivo Pereira next Thursday, April 14.

It should be noted that the return and return of these commitments will be disputed between April 20 and May 11. Each team that appears first in the draw will define the return game as home.
