The Colombia national team is ready to debut against Argentina in the South American women's under-20

The only time Colombia has qualified for the U20 Women's World Cup was in Germany 2010 and now they expect to qualify for Costa Rica 2023 with coach Carlos Paniagua

The Colombia women's under-20 team will start this Friday, April 8, its qualifying process for the 2022 Costa Rica World Cup, facing Argentina at 4:00 p.m. at the Nicolás Chahuán Municipal Stadium in the city of La Calera in Chile.

After finishing second with an almost perfect score in the South American U-17 Women's Championship held in Uruguay, coach Carlos Paniagua will be in charge of the same tournament organized by Conmebol in the U-20 category.

Colombia will be part of Group A of the competition alongside Argentina, Chile, Peru and Venezuela and will seek to get into the top two places in the table to qualify for the final home run and later become champion or runner-up to reach the U-20 Women's World Cup.

The albiceleste team has already seen action against the host, Chile, in the 0-0 equality on Wednesday, April 6. After this game, coach Paniagua had the opportunity to observe both rivals and Argentina highlighted their order and retreat in defensive matters. Thus, coffee players will have the challenge of ratifying their candidacy and high level to return to a new World Cup after 12 years without reaching this stage, when they ranked fourth in Germany 2010.

It should be remembered that since this competition was played in 2004, Brazil has come out as the first eight times, except for the 2020 edition, which was not organized due to the health emergency caused by covid-19.
