Callao: Family denounces that police officers entered their home because they got the wrong operation

A family in the district of Bocanegra in Callao reported mismanagement by the police that broke into the tranquility of their home when they entered the force.

A family reported mismanagement in an operation by the Peruvian National Police, in the Constitutional Province of Callao. As they said, from one moment to another the troops broke into the tranquility of their home, breaking the doors, windows and reducing the members of this house.

The Herrera Salazar family explained that they were victims of attacks inside their home by police officers who were wearing civilian clothes and at no time identified themselves.

“They ran through here all over the courtyard and my two nephews have been sitting here and then the only thing they noticed is that when they saw that crowd coming they didn't know they were police officers,” said María Herrera, owner of the affected house for Panamericana TV cameras.

According to the affected woman, her four nephews and her girlfriend were going out to shop at a nearby store and when they saw a group of people leaving, they ran to the house, but the troops also entered breaking everything they found on their way. As a result of the violent intervention, a young man was left with a fractured ankle and a minor with a broken septum.

Due to the strong impression of the moment, a minor entered a picture of epilepsy, faced with confusion as they thought they were criminals.

The officers of the Bocanegra police station reportedly arrived at this house looking for two minors who had been reported missing days ago and who were allegedly at the Herreras' house.

The family denies having had any contact with the minors and claimed not to know the mother. They also report that in their home the troops searched all the environments looking for drugs.

So far the regional head of Callao has not commented on this fact, but the family asks that those responsible be investigated and that those responsible be brought down, since they cannot carry out an operation breaking the peace of mind and violating private property.

The family reports that the police confused themselves as housing when searching for missing young people.

ANÍBAL TORRES CRITICIZES PNP SHORTCOMINGS

Aníbal Torres criticized the actions of the police, calling it “deficient” and not having the training or sufficient number of officers to control the riots in the capital after the excuses in the offices of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the National Jury of Elections and the Superior Court of Justice of Lima, among others.

“Our police, we must admit, do not exist in sufficient numbers. On the other hand, its preparation, we also recognize it, is deficient,” he said.

“I just give one example, the media has also seen here abroad that seven policemen cannot arrest one person,” he added.

For his part, Minister Alfonso Chávarry was asked about Aníbal Torres' statements and his criticism of the NPP, who replied: “I don't I agree on that. I don't agree. In Peru there is democracy and everyone speaks what they think and I am going to tell you that I do not agree with this position because I know the National Police in the background. It is a historic institution with great professionals and men, an institution that at a time that Peru has had saved it,” he said at the beginning of his speech.
