Arturo Elias Ayub: if he entered politics, Carlos Slim's son-in-law would seek the presidency

Arturo Elías Ayub has managed to consolidate himself as one of the most popular and friendly people in the business world in Mexico. And it is that Elias Ayub achieved this, thanks to the fact that he is always kind and with a smile on his face.

In addition, the image he gave during his participation as a panelist, or “shark”, in the Shark Tank program , Elias Ayub managed to increase his popularity.

The businessman, who is married to Johanna Slim Domit, the youngest daughter of Mexico's richest businessman, Carlos Slim Domit, for more than 25 years, has stated on several occasions that since he was a child he liked business, and that even, during his time as a student, there were times when he preferred to go to close some deals to go into school, because he didn't like it.

Recently, Elias Ayub, who heads some of his father-in-law Carlos Slim's companies, was interviewed by journalist Elisa Alanís, with whom he talked about various topics, including his parents, to whom he said, remember with a lot of love, because “they were tipazos”.

In addition, they touched on other topics, for example, if you would like to venture into the world of politics. In the talk, Elisa Elanís asks the businessman if he plans to return to Shark Tank, a program from which he came out just a few months ago, to which Elias Ayub replied that at the moment he did not, however, “I am someone I never say never”.

After this, Eliza asks him if he is never going to say never in politics, to which Arturo responds that “I never say never”. The journalist asks again if she would like it and if she has thought about it. “I've thought about it many times, and I've been invited many times.”

Alanís asks another question, now questioning what he would like and what his conditions would be. “I would like to, if I entered him one day, it would be to be president, I mean, I would not start as a senator.” “Share for the presidency, yes, for which party?” , questions Alanís again in the talk, to whom Elias Ayub says he is not thinking about it. “Let's make it clear, you asked me what would you like? Well, being president (...) I don't know, because I don't know that until now I haven't done it, and I've had, like, many opportunities and I haven't,” says the businessman.

Later, the communicator questions whether she has any personal project, to which Arturo responds yes, and that is to help many people with what she can and what she can. “We are doing a lot of things, through the Telmex Foundation, the Carlos Slim Foundation (...) in everything I can, to see, from the foundation, where I can, to if I can make my book work for some kids, or from my networks, or if you have to put wool, you have to put in, or if you have to enter it, go to the orphanage to play football with the guys there, obviously, when I tell you to help I think big and think about massive projects where I can help as many people as possible.”

He explains that he has a privileged position, where Carlos Slim has given him a great responsibility, which is to manage the Telmex Foundation, where there is a lot of money involved, that must be spent on helping others. “Although it seems easy, it is a joke to use money to really make a... that has the greatest impact on the number of people, but also the greatest impact on creating a real change in the lives of those people, a jump to make their lives better, so it's very difficult, it seems easy, hey you have the wool, but find a way to spend it from in the best possible way,” says Elias Ayub.
