WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has long had the story function similar to that of Instagram and Facebook. Also called stories or statuses are publications of a few seconds long available for 24 hours, because of this quality, some of the contacts may be interested in seeing them several times before they disappear.

While the messaging platform allows you to see who has seen the stories, some users are interested in how many times they have seen their stories.

To know this, you need to follow two simple steps that will take a few seconds.

However, it should be emphasized that this option has some limitations. The first is that it is only possible to know how many times they have seen a story if you have WhatsApp Plus and the second is that the other contact must also have WhatsApp Plus.

If that factor is met, it is enough to simply review the stories, that is, go to States, then My Status and finally select the one eye icon that appears at the back of the menu to know precisely how many times contacts have looked at a story.

It should be remembered that this mode only appears in users with WhatsApp Plus and those who have the standard version can only know which contacts have taken their time to play the story.

Only people whose phone numbers are stored in the contact book and who have their phone number within their contacts can see status updates. You can choose to share status updates with all contacts or only with selected ones, for this you have to make some settings in the settings.

Change the privacy of your statuses

- Touch States.

On Android: Tap More options > Status privacy.

On iPhone: Tap Privacy.

- Select one of the following options:

My Contacts: All contacts will be able to see status updates.

My contacts, except...: All your contacts will be able to see your status updates, except those you selected.

Only share with...: You will only be able to see status updates with the contacts you selected.

It is worth remembering that the settings will not apply to stories already published and that they will only be this way after the privacy changes are applied.

One of Meta's main ideas is that there is a unification between Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, so that users feel comfortable between applications, leaving aside cumbersome situations such as searching for contacts or making the same publication on each platform manually. Thanks to this ambition, Mark Zuckerberg's company has added options such as sharing stories on Instagram and Facebook from the comfort of a button.

Despite that, when a story is shared on another partner profile, WhatsApp will not share account information with Facebook or other applications. To share statuses from WhatsApp to other applications, the following steps must be followed:

- Touch States.

- Create a status update on: Android | iPhone

- There are two options for sharing content depending on whether you want to share a new or an old status update:

To share a new status update: In My Status, tap Share. Note that the Share option will disappear if you move to another tab.

Share old status updates: Tap My Status on iPhone or tap More next to My Status on Android. Then tap More next to the status update you want to share, and then tap Share.

In the sharing destination tray, select the application with which you want to share the status update. With this, the story will immediately appear on the selected platform.
