The Copa Colombia is configured as the second most important tournament in Colombian football, as it gives a place to the Copa Libertadores and brings together the two divisions into one. Three teams have already made their pass in the second leg matches of the round of 32, because surprisingly Unión Magdalena at the Villa Concha stadium in Piedecuesta, Santander, beat Real Santander as a visitor 1 to 5, getting their direct quota to the next round maintaining a total of 2 to 8.
Meanwhile, Tigres fought in Bogotá to get his qualification, because he defeated Patriotas de Boyacá by the minimum and went to the next phase, establishing a global from 1 to 0, for his part, Jaguares de Córdoba demonstrated his power in Monteria, placing a 2 to 1 against Alianza Petrolera and adding 3 to 2 in the global account, asserting the locality and qualifying for the next round.
Similarly, in a postponed match at the Alberto Grisales stadium in the municipality of Rionegro, Antioquia, Deportivo Pereira won 1 by 0 as a visitor, however, he will have to wait until April 14 to define everything in the second leg, as this meeting was postponed due to different conditions issued by Dimayor.
The format conditions several teams, since in this case eight clubs from the first division entered directly, among which are: Deportes Tolima, Deportivo Cali, Millonarios and Atlético Nacional, in addition to La Equidad, America de Cali, Junior and Independiente Medellín, as these teams have played international tournaments, giving you the possibility of direct access to the round of 16.
The other qualified teams are Jaguares from Córdoba, Unión Magdalena and Tigres, as they have already won in the two keys played in the third round, corresponding to the round of 32 matches. Today, the rest of the available places are expected to be finalized, where Fortaleza Cortuluá, Quindio, Once Caldas, Bucaramanga, Envigado, Santa Fe, Pasto, Aguilas Doradas and Deportivo Pereira, will seek to define their quota for the next phase of the tournament.
The draw for the eighth, will take place this Friday 8 April at 1 pm with a broadcast of the Win Sports Channel, here, the 16 squads will know their rivals and the local status they will have in the matches to be played.

It is important to keep in mind that this tournament, with its change of format, gives a place to the Copa Libertadores, although it does not install the team in the group stage, it allows the qualifier to play the previous rounds to play a direct quota, as is the case of Atlético Nacional, current champion of this tournament who beat forcefully at Deportivo Pereira at the end of 2021.
