This is how some political sectors reacted to the possible extradition of Otoniel

After the release of the extradition endorsement of Dairo Antonio Úsuga David, alias' Otoniel ', different sectors of the National Government and Colombian politics have reacted to the measure. However, doubts arise at the appearance that the accused may bring to the national justice system, bearing in mind that his testimony can clarify different cases that link the Colombian authorities, directly to the negative factors of the armed conflict; such as the case of paramilitary groups.

For the most part, the comments in favor of this measure come from the Uribism and the political right at home, since they emphasize that this is a blow to impunity that prevented 'Otoniel' from responding to the US authorities, however, the sector opposed to this decision, although they consider that the measure is necessary, they warn that it is it is a priority for this subject to declare everything that happened in the context of the conflict in the country, in order to assist in the reparation of the victims.

The Senator of the Democratic Center, Carlos Felipe Mejía, welcomed the Court's ruling, stressing: “The JEP will no longer be able to guarantee impunity to the mobster 'Otoniel', the Supreme Court endorses the extradition of this criminal to the United States.” .

On the other hand, the president of Fedegan, José Félix Lafaurie, threw darts after the decision, referring to two important politicians who are active in the Historical Päcto, in this case, Lafaurie said: “After the extradition of #Otoniel we expect that of #Teodora and #DonIván, both from the Historic Antro.” .
