The powerful speech of young people with disabilities addressed to Pedro Castillo and his ministers in Huancayo

The young man made a series of requests and highlighted the huge gap of people with disabilities in Peru. The ministers and the president listened carefully.

“I don't come as a worker in the regional government of Junín, but I come as a representative of people with disabilities.

The first request we have is regarding the Conadis card, as long as we process that card it takes us 6 to 7 months. That must be faster, to be able to mobilize.

Secondly, in terms of work it refers to 5% for state-owned enterprises, state institutions and 3% for private companies. That must change. It doesn't benefit us. It must be equal, 5% of people with disabilities for private companies as public institutions.

In the case of CAS competitions, there are some vacancies for the person with disabilities. A long time ago, Caja Huancayo held a call exclusively for people with disabilities, which is very good, because that is how we have work and that initiative should be encouraged. That each institution both private and public CAS vacancies exclusively to people with disabilities.

Third. Education. I am a graduate of the UNCP, the National University of Central Peru. When I graduated from college, he didn't care about my employment situation. That must change. Persons with disabilities who graduate from any educational institution must be incurred in their labor laboratory as each higher educational institution. Thus, the university or the institute must look for work for people with disabilities.

Many think poor thing, he won't be able to, or poor thing lacks experience. Now tell me how a person with disabilities will have work experience if they never give them opportunities.”
