Colombian actress Marilyn Patiño proudly showed her new abdomen, because in addition to the results of an athletic and balanced life like the one she has led so far, the artist underwent plastic surgery with a renowned Colombian show surgeon, Carlos Ramos, recognized as 'The Barbie Surgeon. '

Patiño remembered for novels such as 'Oye Bonita', 'Escobar, el patron del evil', 'El Capo', among others, she underwent this surgery because she suffered an abdominal diastasis, which is the separation of the rectus muscles of the abdomen as a result of damage to the connective tissue that, under normal conditions, keeps them united with each other, and to the line average of the body, the so-called alba line. It is a functional and aesthetic problem that is more common than it seems.

In her networks, the actress commented that she made the decision to have the surgical procedure because the problem that seemed flaccidity in broad light did not improve with the daily exercise to which she devotes her daily time. In networks, a series of criticisms were given, because many influencers have recommended health professionals for modification and plastic surgery, but in some cases these professionals are investigators for irregularities in their accreditations, patients affected by the procedure and even dead.

So Ramos pointed out: “Why did Marilyn recommend me? Very simple... I fixed the damages of other surgeries and the aftermath of her pregnancy that no one knew how to do, this is how the quality of a surgeon is demonstrated, accepting difficult challenges.”

In the same vein Patiño commented: “Without unionizing, please. It is an almost necessary procedure in some of us who were mothers and had abdominal diastasis. Thank you Doc. What a good job.”

Carlos Ramos and his collaborator, physician Ana María Socarras Espitia, were charged with the wrongful death of dentist Tatiana Andrea Posada Jiménez, who underwent surgery in 2011 and in 2021, they were sentenced to pay a fine of 30 minimum wages and were disqualified for 30 months. Although they were also sentenced to 40 months in prison, they were granted conditional suspension of that measure.

Before the court's decision, a controversy was triggered on social networks that is divided between those who ask for justice and those who support the doctor. For that reason, Ramos took advantage of his social networks to send a message and thank his followers for the support they have given him at this time, which has not been easy at all.

“I want to thank you very much for all the support we have had. I don't read the comments much, but several people tell me that there are more positive comments defending our work than negative ones,” said 'the surgeon of barbies'.

Ramos also pointed out that he is currently working normally, since he still has the option of appealing the judge's decision: “We are working ordinary and it is incredible that only three patients have canceled me, this week we operate, this next week we have 21 surgeries and in Bogotá we have 38, that means that people he knows about our good work, he knows who we are.”

It should be emphasized that the surgery that the victim underwent included augmentation mammoplasty, liposuction and buttock grafts, procedures that, according to what was known, were initially to be performed by Ramos Corena; however, the one who ended up carrying it out was Socarras, without the patient's knowledge of it.
