Rocío Azuara denied that Gustavo Adolfo Infante helped him get his program: “I was tested”

A new controversy arose between two well-known drivers in the Mexican show, Gustavo Adolfo Infante and Rocío Sanchez Azuara. This, after the host of The Minute that Changed My Destiny assured that thanks to him, the talk show host was able to get her program called Rocío a tu tu lado en Imagen.

It all started in recent days during the program De primermano, in which Gustavo Adolfo mentioned that he had been one of the key pieces for the television station to hire Rocío.

“I have been the liaison because I met both Rocío and Laura both of them, I have been the liaison with them to bring them here, I didn't hire them, I don't hire them, I'm an employee of this company, and I do what the company tells me. With all due respect to Mrs. Rocío Sánchez Azuara, if you want to sue me because I lied, I think the test is absolutely and totally forceful when you thank me, because I brought you here to Imagen, because I spoke, because I recommended you,” commented the show host.

Infante also mentioned at the time that Imagen executives were apparently skeptical of choosing Azuara, but he pointed out that he was the one who told them that it could be a good opportunity.

“When I proposed a talk show to the company, the first alternative we had was Laura Bozzo, after that, no agreement was reached with Laura Bozzo and I proposed Rocío Sánchez Azuara. They told me, 'Gustavo, Rocío is very burnt, they have run it from everywhere, 'and I told them 'it's the woman rating, I think you have to give it a chance', and we took Rocío... When Rocío went to TV Azteca, I started looking for Laura Bozzo [...] Yes, I called her, it was my idea,” he said.

Given these statements, Rocío did not remain silent and during an interview with Alejandro Zúñiga she declared that this was not the reality of things and, although Gustavo Adolfo was kind to her, he did not give her credit for her triumph.

“He didn't take me to Imagen at all, at some point I thanked him for his attention because obviously somehow he was in Imagen because obviously he welcomed me and whatever but nothing else, he didn't take me to Imagen at all,” he said.

In addition, Rocío confessed that her process to stay was complicated, since she did not agree with the traditional way in which these projects are carried out.

“People don't know that they put me to the test that's the reality, they didn't think I could do a talk show like what I did, which was what I had always wanted to do, without shouting, without insults, because I don't like it, it's not in my DNA to do that kind of format.”

The driver rescued that she was on a trial period for three months and the response from the public was very good. So they let her continue for another three months and after that period she was able to sign a contract for one year. After that it was agreed that they would renew as things were given.
