After the triumph of the duo that make up the Spaniard Paquito Navarro and the Argentine Martín Di Nenno at the start of the Premier Padel during the premiere of the competition that took place in Doha, Qatar, the organization has already confirmed that the third date of the circuit will arrive in Argentina from August 8 to 14.
This new initiative for discipline, led by Qatari businessmen and endorsed by the International Padel Federation (IFJ), already has a new day secured in a rapid expansion that already had its first station in the Middle East and that will continue in Paris in mid-July, on the very site of the traditional tournament of Roland Garros tennis.
The Argentine Padel Association (APA) was interested from the first moment that work was being done to make this circuit reach South America. With the necessary permission, the APA took over the organization of Premier Padel so that Argentina is the first venue in the region and so that the Argentine padel world can enjoy this first-class tournament.
Padel albiceleste, which has multiple figures around the planet, is already dreaming of that date knowing the explosion in infrastructure that sports has in our country. For this reason, several areas could have the opportunity to host this new and attractive event: Cordoba, Mendoza, Mar del Plata, Río Gallegos, La Rioja, Rosario or the City of Buenos Aires itself appear with a historical background that allows us to hope with solid foundations the probability of being taken into account.
“We are looking for the best possible venue, analyzing and listening to proposals, there are many provinces interested, but nothing closed. We want to take advantage of this top-level circuit to continue promoting padel at the federal level,” said Santiago Brito, president of the APA.
Beyond the initial resistances and demands that occurred since the World Padel Tour for the players, the best exponents in the world trusted this new proposal and already went on the court in Doha. This is how the Navarro-Di Nenno duo defeated the outstanding duo composed of the Spaniards Alejandro Galán-Juan Lebrón.
The President of the International Padel Federation (IFJ), Luigi Carraro, was happy to announce this link between the federation he presides, APA, the Professional Padel Association (PPA) and Qatar Sports Investments. All sides showed their confidence that Argentina will be a fundamental pillar in the expansion of the circuit.
The padel in Argentina, with the help of its mother entity presided over by Santiago Brito, is already working on the assembly of this historic date. After the Senior World Cup held in Las Vegas, Brito and his team will advance logistics to confirm the venue that will bring together the best players in the world in our country.
