Nairo Quintana has had a great season of competitions where he has managed to be a benchmark in several of them, even staying with the general classifications, as happened in the Tour of the Alpes-Maritimes and the Tour de la Provence, also winning in each of them a stage and the mountain shirt.

While in rounds such as Paris Nice and the Vuelta a Catalunya he was one of the riders who proposed the most in promotions, however, he was overtaken by his rivals. In both races he managed to be 5th and 4th respectively, considering that he faced very strong riders, the result is very good as well as necessary for the goal they have as a team with Arkea Samsic.

The Colombian has given a good amount of points to his squad in view of the fact that they aspire to be a World Team by 2023 based on the new way of qualifying in the UCI ranking. Now the bet will be big in Turkey as it would be the first time I would attend the competition.

Although the purposes are not different from other races that they already know, because the watchword is to go to win stages and especially the general classification and the mountain, which would give several UCI points. However, promotion is not the only terrain they are prepared for, as they will go with another of the leaders of the Breton team such as Nacer Bouhanni in the sprints.

The team will be composed, in addition to the two of them as the main references, by Nairo's younger brother, Dayer Quintana, who would be his main gregarious on the mountain, Daniel McLay, Kevin Ledanois, Donovan Grondin and Nicolas Edet.

As for the route proposed by the organization, there will be 12 mountain passes distributed throughout the 8 stages that will run from April 10 to 17. The 25 teams will have to ride more than 1200 kilometers, of which 7 are the top flight in world cycling, including Bora, Astana and UAE Team Emirates, to name a few.

While most of the squads that will start in the Ottoman round will be second division, including that of Nairo Quintana.

To highlight, on the ProCyclingStats portal, you can read that other Colombian riders would also be on the list of competitors in Turkey: Daniel Muñoz and Brandon Rojas would be with the Drone Hopper Androni Giocattoli, Camilo Ardila with the UAE Team Emirates and Juan Fernando Calle with the Caja Rural.

Colombians will have great opportunities to stand out, with Nairo being the favorite, as much of the route has slopes that usually benefit them when it comes to looking for a good result. But they must be vigilant, as there is still a need to confirm rival runners with great conditions who hope to also show themselves in the face of victory in the general.

It is not yet confirmed whether for Colombia there will be transmission of the competition by local channels or international channels that show each of the stages on any of its platforms.
