One of the most decisive players that Mexican football has is Nahuel Guzmán, Tigres' goalkeeper and former Argentine national team, who has been characterized by his particular style of play, language and provocations, so he has won many detractors but also a very solid base of fans.
One of the virtues that Tigres fans most applaud is its relevance inside the dressing room, since he is one of the captains and who is in charge of raising his voice when things are not going well.
This was demonstrated in a video leaked through social networks, in which he was observed lashing out at his players in the dressing rooms of the León Stadium, after falling eliminated to La Fiera in the semifinals of the Grita Mexico 2021.
“I really don't think we played the best match, but there is one detail that I always tell you and it's very punctual. Do not get into the goal anymore when the rivals arrive, or if they get in, take it out. Mark the striker and let it not work, because I'm tired of telling you,” Patón Guzmán began to say.
As he commented on his opinion of the mistakes that cost Tigres the match, anger gradually took hold of him until he broke out with the same problem of defending too far back in the last minutes.
“Don't get into the bow anymore! Let me cut it, let Miguel (Ortega) stop, let the goalkeeper stop. And if you are going to get into the goal, take it out to the shit***! Take her out to shit*** because they give us a goal down the goal! ”, declared the Argentine goal, while giving a hint to the defenders who ignored it.
“Then don't get into the goal anymore and score those who have to score the goal, please I ask you, please. Everyone else, I am very grateful even though we were left out. But I got tired of telling them 'don't get into the bow, don't get into the arch'. It's done. And get out of the mood with whatever it is, but that's it, it's no use to you”, concluded Nahuel in his speech to his companions.
These words came after losing the semifinals of Grita México 2021 to León, because in the second leg 2-1 (overall 3-3) fell and returned home by the tie-break criterion, which gave the pass to whoever would have been best placed in the table.
What caused Guzmán's anger the most was the moment when León's goal was scored, as he fell until the 85th minute of the match by Ángel Mena, who scored a double that night at the home of the Panzas Verdes.
Despite the comeback that the team led by Ariel Holan offered, in the grand final against Atlas it could not be imposed and they lost via penalties, so the end of the season for Tigres y León was disappointing in terms of titles.
On the other hand, the 36-year-old goalkeeper is in his eighth year as Tigres' starting goalkeeper, so he has consolidated himself as one of the institution's historic players and the most winning in terms of titles, accumulating four MX Leagues, three Champions Champions and one Concacaf Champions League.
