Beyond the good start of the Barranquilla Junior, yesterday, at Copa Sudamericana, the team showed that they can fine-tune certain details in the operation of their game. Although adding as a visitor will always be important, and encouraging, the sharks could have risked a little more to take the three points in Argentina, considering that, together with Fluminense, they are the favorites of group H.
Those led by Juan Cruz Real had everything to impose themselves, but the fear of being exposed to the Argentines could do more. Every change the DT made was asserted. Viáfara was the owner of the right wing, Giraldo had a performance on the rise and Cetré was in tune, almost scored the winning goal in the last minutes.
Except for the first moments of the match, the Barranquilla team how to carry out the defense-attack transitions and when. He did not suffer considerably from the rival team's attacks and his defense was well placed. In between there was possession and creativity. They managed to create two very clear options for Borja and Cetré.
The team's most accurate success was to have known how to react to the rival's early goal. Victims of deconcentration, they received the goal of Federico Vera in the second minute of the game. That was enough for them to settle in, but it shouldn't have happened, let alone in an international tournament. After four minutes, Gabriel Fuentes won the left wing and after a long run he crossed the ball looking for the center in the opponent's area. The same Vera who had scored for his team minutes earlier was in charge of executing the own goal. An interesting fact: the defender scored a double in this match, scoring one goal in favor of his team and another against.

With that intensity, the match took place during the 90 minutes. At times, the game was a battlefield. The team did not have the character to ignore the provocations of the Argentines. Didier Moreno could have been expelled, but he was saved. For his part, Luis Daniel González did see the red cardboard, as did Gastón González, on the part of Unión.
The constant fouls caused the match to lose pace in certain passages, which allowed the Junior to retreat to avoid the attacks of the opposing team. Barranquilla's last line remained strong and goalkeeper Sebastián Viera responded when necessary. The match ended with 20 players and gave a valuable point to both teams, but that is two points less than Juan Cruz Real's team delivers for their rivals to take advantage of. Fluminense won and was at the head of the group and Oriente Petrolero will arrive with everything in the next match.
