Colombian BMX rider Mariana Pajón is one of the most loved athletes by Colombians, not only because of the joys she has given the country but also because of her charisma that has made her worthy of all kinds of praise.

In addition, it is an example of overcoming after the severe injuries suffered in his career, from which he has managed to recover and remain at the top of the elite of his sports discipline. However, on several occasions he has put on the table the issue of his retirement from the tracks.

The 30-year-old Paisa biker, who has been world champion of various opportunities, said at the time for Win Sports, that she wants to take a break to recharge her energy for the 2022 competitions.

Likewise, the Olympic medalist stressed that due to injuries she had to modify her training, but she is aware that she must stop along the way.

Despite the fact that her discomfort requires surgical intervention, Mariana Pajón hopes that with the low load she will be able to recover without the need to enter the operating room.

Regarding the silver medal won in Tokyo 2020, Mariana admitted that it is one of the greatest conquests, since she was not at her best level due to the difficulties she experienced before the Olympic jousts.

However, the queen of BMX made a post on her official Twitter account where she thanked for the support she received during her career, leaving open the possibility of leaving her professional activity.

In her last performance at the Latin American BMX Cup, which took place in Guayaquil, Ecuador, the Colombian won three circuit competitions and also won the other, showing that she is more valid ever.
