Three Colombians will have the opportunity to play in the finals of the Central American Concacaf competition wearing the Seattle Sounders FC jersey, the Washington State franchise: Jimmy Medranda, Yeimar Pastor Gomez and Fredy Montero.

Montero comes from being the figure in attack of the green team in the elimination of Club León of Mexico with an overall result of 4-1 on March 18. And on April 6 he was a substitute for the 90 minutes in the first leg semifinal against New York City FC, the current MLS Cup champion.

Seattle was solid in attack and despite having only two coffee players on the field as a replacement, they set foot in the grand final of the 2022 Concacaf Champions League, better known as Concachampions by beating the New York team 3-1.

The goals were converted by Albert Rusnák (16′), Thiago Andrade (27′), Jordan Morris (34′) and Nicolás Lodeiro (68′).

Coach Brian Schmetzer did not make variations in his initial scheme until the 83rd and 86th minute, with the revenues of Jimmy Medranda and Fredy Montero. Before that, the US strategist maintained a 4-2-3-1 formation with South Americans Nicolás Lodeiro and Raúl Ruidiaz on offense.

Seattle has just eliminated Club Leon from Mexico in the quarterfinals and Motagua from Honduras in the second round and is now only 90 minutes away from playing the two finals against the winner between Cruz Azul and Pumas UNAM, a series that is 2-1 in favor of the varsity team:

These were the three goals of the engagement in which former Deportivo Cali striker Juan Ignacio Dinenno was featured:

With just under 10 minutes on the court, Jimmy and Fredy held the lead at Lumen Field in Seattle and the Washington franchise took the desired advantage before their trip to New York for the return match on Wednesday, April 13.

It should be noted that Freddy Montero has scored four goals so far this season: it comes from turning Leon a double in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Concachampions 2022 and also scored on Saturday, March 12, in penalty, LA Galaxy in the 3-2 victory of the Sounders, for the 3rd date of the Western Conference of the MONTH 2022.

At 34, Fredy is Seattle's attacking bet to face the 2022 MLS season. The striker from Campo de la Cruz has signed a contract with the Sounders until December of this year and has earned title in the last four matches played by his team.

The next challenge for the Montero, Gómez and Medranda club will be to face FC Cincinnati at home on April 9, a match that will feature Star Plus broadcasting throughout Latin America.
