The National Electoral Council (CNE) determined this Thursday that the presidential candidate of Team for Colombia, Federico Gutiérrez, must appear on the electoral card with his first and last name and not his nickname, Fico; however, the nickname may be used in the slogan or logo.

The document, which is given in response to a question by the National Civil Registry Office, cites article 124 of the Colombian Electoral Code. It states that in the presidential elections “citizens will vote with electoral cards that will have the symbols, emblems and colors of the different parties printed, with clear printing of the name and surnames of the respective candidate.”
