It has been several days in which the protests that took place outside one of the venues of the restaurants of the comedian Pedro González, recognized as 'Don Jediondo', have been discussed. People argued that the humorist was not fulfilling his economic commitments, while he assured that he would pay but that he was waiting for instructions from the Superintendence of Societies. The entity has already responded and ordered the payment of the millionaire debt.

“We're all going to pay every last peso. We are waiting for the Superintendency to tell us when we should start paying,” the actor commented initially. His restaurant went into the process of reorganization after he stated in January 2020 that he was in crisis and that it would be difficult for him to keep the restaurant standing.

“The confirmation of the reorganization agreement of the company Don Jediondo Sopitas y Parrilla S.A.S., depends on the fulfillment of the obligations set out above by the company, since if this does not happen, the Contest Judge would not be able to confirm the reorganization agreement in accordance with the provisions of article 32 of the Law 1429 of 2010″, the agency commented on the situation.

According to the explanation, the agreement to reorganize Don Jediondo Sopitas and Parrilla S.A.S could not be confirmed because the comedian has outstanding debts for social security contributions, discounts to workers and withholdings that, in figures, amount to 800 million pesos, money that does not correspond to the liabilities to be restructured, “that is, debts caused after the start of the process of more than 1 billion pesos paid by the same company and in favor of different creditors,” said the Supersociedades.

“On January 19, 2022 and March 1 of the same year, two hearing sessions were held to confirm the reorganization agreement, where debts were reported to be borne by the company and which are not part of the liabilities to be restructured, amounting to more than 800 million Colombian pesos for discounts made to workers or contributions to social security and withholding,” said the entity in a statement published on its social networks.

Omitting the 800 million pesos, the comedian, from his restaurant, explained the organization, has a liability to be restructured of more than 14 billion Colombian pesos. Don Jediondo, however, to pay the 800 million pesos, cannot begin the process of reorganization.

Don Jediondo assured that this situation has caused him different problems, including threats against him and his family. “He told me that if I didn't give him a few millions he would make a fuss on me, that I had to sell some bills to bad people and the most worrying thing an unknown man went looking for my wife, who fortunately was not in the building,” said 'Don Jediondo' in testimonies collected by Caracol Radio.

“The people who went to the Colina Shopping Center are not merchants in Corabastos, but they are people sent by one of the suppliers to whom we owe a debt that, I repeat, cannot be paid until we have authorization from the Superintendency,” he added in his testimonies.

Likewise, he says that he experienced a distressing moment when a man went to look for his wife at his place of work. The woman had to leave the country. “Last week, while I was on a business trip to Australia, an unknown gentleman went three times to our offices, in the Gaitan neighborhood of Bogotá, looking for my wife. He did not want to identify himself, the one who attended him was the accountant and said 'no, I need her, 'and he said that he came from the supplier to whom we owe money. Fortunately she wasn't on those three occasions. She, frightened, bought a ticket and left for Miami because she fears for her life,” he said.
