Ayacucho FC and Sao Paulo will already face each other at the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega stadium in Cusco, but will do so at the National Stadium in Lima. The 'Zorros' released a last-minute statement on their social networks and all the logistics are already being carried out with the squad so that it reaches the Peruvian capital without problems and disputes its debut in the 2022 Copa Sudamericana.

“The match to be played by group D of CONMEBOL Sudamericana against Sao Paulo in Brazil, will be played tomorrow (April 7) from 7:30 p.m. at the National Stadium in Lima, behind closed doors due to the socio-political problems that the country is experiencing”, can be read in the statement of the first division of football Peruvian.

However, according to journalist Gustavo Peralta, this whole situation occurs because the organization of the tournament “tells them that the transmission equipment does not reach Cusco”. Let's remember that the Ayacucho squad has been training since Monday in this department. Everything indicates that the reasons for Conmebol are not convincing enough because there are flights and cargo transportation at the moment to Cusco from Lima.

MIGUEL XIMÉNEZ SPOKE FOR CHANGE OF VENUE

“Unfortunately we have just been informed that our match against Sao Paulo for the South American will take place tomorrow in Lima... when we are already in Cusco, and Sao Paulo in Lima. All this is shameful...”, said the former player, passing through Sporting Cristal, through his Twitter account.
