One of the cards in attack by the Colombian team in the UEFA Europa League, apart from Luis Muriel and the injured Duván Zapata and Alfredo Morelos, is the Barranquilla player Rafael Santos Borré.

The player from Eintracht Frankfurt won the round of 16 of the continental competition 3-2 on the global scoreboard against Real Betis and his club will once again face a Spanish opponent this Thursday, April 7 in the first leg of the quarterfinals: FC Barcelona.

In dialogue with the Mundo Deportivo portal, prior to the duel that will start tomorrow at 2:00pm Colombian time at Deutsche Bank Park, Borré, announced his feelings and demonstrated his ambition to appear in the goal scoring command of the Eagles against a rival he considers very special and important. These were his words about it:

Aware that Barcelona arrives with a notable drought of titles and the need to prove its historic greatness in the competitions of the Old Continent, the Colombian analysed the Catalans who are in good shape after eliminating Napoli from the Europa League, in addition to winning the Classic against Real Madrid by La Liga and defeating by the slightest difference to Seville under the command of Xavi Hernández:

Borré is still a starter in the squad led by Austrian Oliver Glasner and currently occupies ninth place in the German Bundesliga with 39 units accumulated over 28 matches. While Frankfurt suffered until overtime on the return of the round of 16 against Real Betis by engineer Manuel Pellegrini, the confidence to save the season and qualify for the UEFA Champions League is set in the key for the top eight teams.

10 wins, nine draws and nine losses guarantee a barely acceptable campaign for the German Eagles who have scored 39 times and have seen their goal fall 38 times for the Bundesliga. Borré has been able to appear as a gunner in the domestic tournament with seven goals converted throughout the 2021/22 season. The last match with the Atlantic goal was a month ago and he became a visitor in the 1-4 final to Hertha Berlin for the 25th date of the German first division tournament.

For the UEFA Europa League, on the other hand, he only records one goal scored against the four scored by Japan's Daichi Kamada. This goal in international competition was done to Olympiacos on October 21, 2021 in the group stage through the penalty:

Meanwhile, the duel between Eintracht Frankfurt and Barcelona will be played at 2:00pm Colombian time this April 7 and will feature the exclusive broadcast of ESPN and Star Plus for South America.
