Víctor Trujillo once again criticized President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), this time the announcer shared an image on his Twitter account comparing a poster of the president with the cover of a film entitled The Folly of King George, which was released in 1994.

The publication was accompanied by the text “same energy” to refer to the similarity between the two stories. This is a photograph by López Obrador where you can see how he is surrounded by flowers, clouds and sparkling lights, which reads “with love you pay”.

This image was made to promote the revocation consultation that will take place on Sunday, April 10, and as soon as it was shared, the actor who gives life to the character of “Brozo” did not hesitate to use it to mock the president.

The film (to which Victor refers) tells the story of King George III of the United Kingdom, who begins to show signs of madness in the middle of reign, a situation that obviously begins to affect his performance as monarch. His symptoms are increasing and causes others to want to take his place, especially his son, the Prince of Wales.

In Trujillo's publication you can see how both protagonists, to the left López Obrador and to the right King George III, find themselves dressed in white, on the other hand, it could be said that both (in different contexts and under different situations) seek to preserve power and continue to lead a nation.

The acid message of the producer was drawn up to mock AMLO's proposed strategy to remain president. The Mandate Revocation consultation consists of citizens going out to vote and through the polls decide whether or not they want the chief executive to continue to lead the country.

Although several politicians, mainly Obrador supporters, have been in favor of what they call “a democratic exercise,” others have said that the process only seeks to distract the population from the real problems that exist in the country, such as drug trafficking, violence and corruption.

On Sunday, April 3, opposition groups even invited various contingents to demonstrate against the consultation. The march that was convened in Mexico City and began at the monument of the Angel of Independence.

From there a group of protesters left between 11:00 and 11:30 in the morning to express their disagreement. While observing different groups dressed in white, there were slogans such as” you finish and leave”, “empty urns” and “I defend the INE”.

It should be noted that the movement was not only carried out in the capital, since various contingents were invited around the country, who arrived in the main squares of their states with the same objectives.

The participants took the opportunity to demand other aspects related to health, safety, employment and respect for the Constitution, and it was also emphasized that the march was being held in favor of the National Electoral Institute (INE), since they pointed out that the institution was in danger because of AMLO's actions.

Regardless of whether the revocation of the mandate is right or wrong, it cannot be denied that the electoral process has left funny and, above all, ironic messages such as that of Víctor Trujillo.

It is also important to emphasize that the Mexican producer has on several occasions lashed out against the mandatorio, so it was to be expected that he would continue to share his position on Andrés Manuel's government, especially when the voting date is so close.
