New European digital law reduces the power of big tech companies

More than 20 years have passed since the last time the European Union established comprehensive regulations for the Internet. The Google company had just been founded, Amazon mainly sold books, and Facebook was not yet known. Problems such as hate speech online did not exist, and the global influence of some tech giants was not predictable. Today, the Internet has become a partly turbulent and often unfair space.
