Evelyn's body was found on March 26, just over a week after her assassination, Morelos State Attorney General Uriel Carmona gave know that the main line of research revolves around a possible human trafficking network, which presumably contacts victims through social networks offering work.
“The possible existence of a network to treat is being investigated. In the area of Oriente de Cuatla, a call was being made to work through social networks, that is something that we have confirmed. I respectfully appeal to young women in the eastern area and throughout the state of Morelos to be careful when they go to work appointments with strangers, do not go alone,” the official told the media on April 5.
