March against Pedro Castillo: Seven arrested for riots in downtown Lima

THEY SEIZE EVEN A MINIBAR

The National Police reported that these people were seized fire extinguishers, minibar and keyboards from the judiciary. In addition, bottles of alcoholic beverages stolen from the Tambo+ store were also found, which was also looted.

The Minister of the Interior, Alfonso Chávarry, arrived at the Alfonso Ugarte police station and said that the social immobilization or curfew decreed for Tuesday by the Government was given because there were intelligence reports warning of acts of vandalism and acts outside the law.

In addition, he reported that he would also go to the police stations in Cotabambas, San Andrés and Monserrat to see if there were other detainees, as there were reported to be 15 in total.

25 INJURED POLICE

Meanwhile, about 25 personnel of the Special Services Unit (USE) of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) were injured by attacks with stones, sticks and bottles by a group of people during the demonstrations that took place in the vicinity of Abancay Avenue.

The police were taken to the Central Hospital of the Luis N. Sáenz PNP, in Jesús María, where they were diagnosed with minor contusions, resulting from blunt objects thrown by subjects who had infiltrated the march to commit vandalism.

The head of the Interior went to the police hospital to visit the affected police officers, whom he congratulated for their work in maintaining public order. In addition, it condemned the acts of violence that occurred during the mobilizations.

Chávarry Estrada said that the National Police will carry out the corresponding investigations to identify the perpetrators of the violence, arrest them and proceed to report them to the Prosecutor's Office.

ATTACK ON JOURNALISTS

On the other hand, the Association of Journalists of Peru expressed its rejection of the attacks that some media reporters suffered during the protests held in Lima.

INJURED PROTES
