“Let's see if I have more lives than a cat or Corozo”: Aco Pérez did not participate in the team challenge in 'MasterChef Celebrity'

After the challenge in pairs in 'MasterChef Celebrity' where the main ingredient was cheese, the celebrities came to a team test with several new features: the first is that Tostao is still absent, and the second is that Aco Pérez did not participate either, because according to Claudia Bahamón, both he and Manuela will go straight to the elimination challenge beyond the results recorded in other challenges.

Thus, each of the captains (Tatán, Corozo, Aida Morales and Chicho) defined the order of their squads by means of a balotera, and several were left with three celebrities, while Tatán's team was composed only of him and Carlos.

Later, the juries indicated that Tuesday's challenge was based on international cuisine, and therefore, the diners would be 11 employees of the Servientrega company. Dishes from Ecuador, Peru, Panama and the United States should be present in the challenge.

The purple team consisted of Natalia and Aida Morales; while the green team was made up of Estiwar, Isabella and Corozo. Chicho, Ramiro and Manuela (wearing a black apron) formed the blue team; only Carlos and Tatán put together the blue squad and the orange squad was formed by Christina, Aida Bossa and Pamela Ospina.

Everyone had 60 minutes to prepare eleven dishes, and despite the limitations that both the purple and red teams had in terms of teammates. After much of the time, the three jurors talked to each other and reproached several behaviors of some contestants, such was the case with Natalia and Aida, as both put the chicken into a beeping pot. Given that, Jorge Rausch said that everyone “should move their asses”.

Another one that presented difficulties was Estiwar G when frying the eggs that made up a Costa Rican paisa tray. But with everything and that, he managed to get a good dish just like the rest of his teammates. While all this was happening, Aco Pérez was sitting on the couch watching every move of his potential rivals in the elimination challenge.

The comments of the diners were as positive as they were negative: while the Panamanian tamale, dubbed 'Not bad, it's very good', received several reproaches for the strong taste of paprika, the green team's tray was especially applauded for the term and juiciness of the meat, but the bean was salty.

'Pride' was the Ecuadorian dish that the blue team made, inspired by the dry chicken that is handled in that country. Although the rice was simple, the other ingredients had an ideal flavor point. In addition, the eleven dishes made by Natalia and Aida M, were the most regular, this because some evaluators rated it as “very sad”.

At the end of the tasting, the scores were known: the highest were 8.5 and 9.1, which corresponded to the orange and blue groups. So things, Pamela, Aida Bossa, Christina, Chicho and Ramiro Meneses went up to the balcony. Manuela, despite forming one of the winning squads, had to stay with the black apron, as this is stipulated in the competition regulations.

For others, all is not lost, because despite wearing black aprons they have a new chance in the challenge of salvation. Aco Pérez concluded by saying to the cameras “Let's see if I have more lives than a cat or Corozo”.
