Jhonier Leal and the plan he had to frame another person in the murder of Mauricio and Marleny

It has been more than four months since Colombia shook at the death of Mauricio Leal and his mother Marleny Hernández at their home in La Calera. Although initially there was speculation of a possible suicide, with the passing of the investigations it was possible to determine that it was a homicide and the big one was Jhonier Leal, brother and son of the victims. On January 19, at the indictment hearing, he agreed to have committed the double murder, not without first trying to deceive the authorities by modifying the crime scene and even trying to blame someone else.

According to the investigations, Jhonier Leal's intention was to blame another person, in this case Jair Ruiz, a childhood friend of the Leal brothers and who worked in the beauty salon of the renowned stylist. At some point the Prosecutor called him to interrogation diligence and linked him to the trial. As the investigation progressed, some interceptions, which were revealed by Semana, reveal what the plan b of the confessed murderer was, who would have managed to blame him for the murder of Mauricio Leal and Marleny Hernández.

In the audios that were revealed, Jhonier Leal told the Public Prosecutor's Office that he suspected Jair Ruiz since he was the one who arrived at the victim's home, spoke for the last time with Mauricio Leal and Leal and entered the room where the bodies of Mauricio Leal and Marleny Hernández were found. According to investigations, Jhonier Leal had an alibi for the renowned stylist's driver to be the prime suspect in the crime.

One of the interceptions that were revealed by Semana, states that, “John (lawyer), informs Jair, that it is urgent and worrying because he was called from the Prosecutor's Office, and it is urgent that he carry out the extension of the interview since they told him that Jhonier, accuses him before the Prosecutor's Office as responsible for their deaths. He says that Jair, that you entered the building much earlier and that you committed the deed before he entered.” The Jhon mentioned in the interception would be Jhon Fonseca, a lawyer who had been in the prosecutor's office of the case and was warned about Jhonier Leal's intentions to frame him of the crime.

In one of the interceptions revealed by the aforementioned medium, it can be read that, “It is better that you come forward and tell the whole truth and be accompanied by a lawyer. Jair tells Jhon that he is at the La Calera toll and now marks him, and they better go early the next day to talk to the family. John says to speak and when he is there, he puts it on speaker, the important thing is that you say the cut of the arm, Jair says that the prosecutor raised his arm and pointed it out, John says that the man (Jhonier Leal) is blaming him.”

As the investigations by the authorities progressed, the facts were clarified and finally Jair ceased to be one of the direct actors in the crime. Jhonier Leal, who confessed to what happened, had made the decision to commit the crime because he intended to keep the fortune of the renowned stylist, which is more than 5 billion pesos.
