Jacqueline Andere criticized for statements on Sasha Sokol case: “It's fashionable to remember”

The first actress, María Esperanza Jacqueline Andere Aguilar, better known as Jacqueline Andere with more than 60 years of career in film and television, gave her opinion on the recent cases of harassment that have come to light in the world of national show business.

However, her statements were severely criticized by several Internet users, who evidenced her position and branded her not believing in the victims of sexual abuse.

Likewise, the Mexican historian, who is remembered for being one of the greatest villains in the history of Mexican melodramas, fixed her stance on the theme of Sasha Sokol, who just over a month ago denounced the abuse she was subjected to by Luis de Llano.

The mother of the Mexican historian, Chantal Andere, first said that she was not so aware of the context of the controversy between the former Timbiriche and the Mexican producer, so she could not express a position: “It is a difficult subject to say, I hope that everything will be settled, because it becomes clear [...] I don't know why I, at that time, didn't lived with them. I don't know if it's true it will be a lie,” he recalled in a meeting with the media.

Later, he strongly criticized the artists who have pointed out the abuses of their past and said that it was part of a way that was becoming a trend among Mexican personalities: “Now as it is fashionable to remember 40 years ago, then everyone remembers and everyone already wants to say things,” the actress argued that participated in Por amar sin law.

To end her speech with the media, the first 83-year-old female histrionist said that from her point of view, it is best to remain silent, because harassment has always existed in the middle of the shows: “I think it is better that they stay quiet, if I told you, there has always been that harassment”.

Finally, the actress added that during the highest point of her career, she experienced these practices many times and never evidenced them and stressed that it is very easy for everyone nowadays to point the finger and say that it is already harassment: “It was another guy, it was a 'flirting' now everyone takes it for harassment '”, he concluded.

As expected, the statements of the video, which was taken up by the entertainment journalist on her YouTube channel, Berenice Ortiz, caused a stir in some Internet users, who in the comment box showed their dissatisfaction with the statements of the actress from Mexico City.

The reason why the Mexican actress was questioned was because during the first week of April, Sasha Sokol announced that she would legally proceed against it by Luis de Llano, he detailed it in an extensive Twitter thread.

“What I did when I shared the truth was not with the intention of stoning Luis, he was stoned for his actions. Luis, thinking that you did not act immorally is the immoral thing, see you in court,” wrote the former member of Sasha, Benny and Erik.
