In recent hours, authorities in the municipality of Buga, Valle del Cauca, found the body of a dismembered woman in a house in the Alto Bonito neighborhood. The uniformed men arrived at the place after the local residents called them because of a bad smell that came out of garbage bags located outside a house where a woman lived that they had not seen for several days.

According to the local newspaper Q'hubo Cali, the authorities managed to establish that the woman's name was Selmar Valencia Valencia, known as 'Stefania'. A relative came to her home from Valencia, since she had not known about her since last April 3 and she didn't usually disappear. When she arrived and noticed that there was no one in the house, the neighbors pointed out the garbage bags that were outside her house and that smelled very bad, which is why they called the authorities.

Information from the Valle del Cauca Police Department indicated that the discovery was last Tuesday, April 5, at approximately 1:40 in the afternoon. The uniformed personnel of the SIJIN Criminal Investigation Section of the Valle Police Department arrived at the scene, who took over the inspection activities at the scene. While the woman's body was transferred to the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences for full identification.

Those who knew 'Stefania' pointed out that the woman was working as a sex worker and when they saw that the woman did not return to work, the alarms went on and went to look for her at her home, there they found the macabre scene that is being investigated by the authorities at this time. The investigation, for the time being, points out that it would be a crime of passion.

For his part, Colonel Nelson Parrado, commander of the Valle Police, referred to the case in RCN Mundo and noted that “decomposing limbs were found; the fact was reported by a relative who found plastic bags containing parts of a human body inside the house where this woman resided. While the other parts of his body, such as the head, lower limbs and other parts of the human body, were found a few blocks from his house, in a wooded area of the municipality and inside a sack.
