The recipe of the day. In this special we are going to introduce you to three easy and quick preparations to make. These are the perfect accompaniments when we want to spend some time relaxing, carefree and watching a favorite movie, series or show. Although in different parts of the world it is known as popcorn or popcorn, in Peru it has gained popularity under the name of canchita, which has a number of variations in flavors.
Take note of all the ingredients and prepare them in less than 5 minutes. Remember that to enjoy it to the fullest you must eat it as soon as it is ready, so you will feel how crispy it is left.
RECETA CANCHITA DULCE
INGREDIENTS: 1 cup of popcorn, also known as popcorn, 2 tablespoons of butter, 4 tablespoons of water, 2 or 3 tablespoons of oil, 100 grams of white sugar (if you only have brown sugar, no problem), drops of half a lemon (this is optional, because it gives it a special and pleasant flavor).
PREPARATION: In a pot place a little oil. Turn on the stove, heat it for about 30 seconds and add the cup of canchita pop corn. Cover the pot tightly. While it is heating, do not forget to move the pot so that all the corn is grazing the base of the pot. The corn will start to burst as the temperature rises. When you see that they have burst all of them, make sure to move the pot by carefully grabbing it from the handles. If there is a lot of popcorn that still doesn't pop, you'll hear them colliding with the pot. If it doesn't, you won't hear anything. If everything or at least almost everything has already burst, it's time to remove the pot from the fire. Put the pot in a bowl and reserve. RECETA CANCHITA CON MANTEQUILLA
INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup of corn for canchita, 3 tablespoons of oil, 1/4 of butter and salt to taste.
PREPARATION: In a pot add the oil and let it heat over medium-high heat. When it has reached the right temperature, we add very carefully the canchita corn. With a wooden or non-stick spoon you have to move very well so that the ingredients are impregnated. Before the popcorn kernels start to burst, add the butter in the center of the pot. Cover very well so that the canchita starts to explode.
With the lid on the pot, and helping you with gloves, move the mixture very well so that the butter soaks in the popcorn. If you want them to be crisper and with an extra layer of butter, you can take the canchita to a buttered pan to “seal” them a little.
RECETA CANCHITA DE CINE
INGREDIENTS: 1 tablespoonful of oil, 1/4 cup of corn kernels, 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
PREPARATION: Bring a large, thick-bottomed pot to heat over medium heat. When the bottom of the pot is hot, add the oil. Put the corn in the pot and stir with the oil. Cover the pot, and wait for the canchita to start bursting. Wait for about 15 seconds and lower the heat to a minimum, while all the grains are bursting. Put out the fire. Uncover and sprinkle with salt while it is still hot. Serve.
