After being absent last Tuesday, April 5, the program Amor y Fuego was aired again by the signal from Willax Televisión. This time the magazine did not touch on issues related to Peruvian show business, but to the march that took place against Pedro Castillo.

As you remember, Gigi Mitre and Rodrigo González were at the demonstration demanding the resignation of the Peruvian president, as they believe that their latest decisions have socially and economically destabilized our country.

Also, as a special program, the production invited former Minister Juan Sheput, economist Eduardo Recoba and journalists Carla García and Augusto Thorndike as political analysts.

During the debate they had, Gigi Mitre recalled that the forgotten population of Peru voted for Pedro Castillo for the presidency, in the hope of seeing a real change that would benefit them.

Likewise, the television host questioned the previous governments, including that of Alan García, for not caring about the most vulnerable citizens, this in the presence of the daughter of the former president of the Republic.

I am convinced that if we do not change that there is no equal education, equal health, equal water and drainage for all, and that as a result each one with his meritocracy, but if they do not have the minimum tools, not of this government, but of all the previous ones, including Carlita with all affection that of your father ( Alan García) who was president twice, all the former presidents have not cared so that we are all at least with an acceptable education and can emerge,” he said.

When Carla García heard what Gigi Mitre said, came to the defense of her father and other former presidents, assuring that they did do different works for education; however, due to the pandemic, many schools did not receive adequate maintenance and went bad.

“Let's see, just a moment, not in the spirit of defending Alan García alone, but also Humala, maybe Alejandro Toledo and partly Fujimori, everyone has done something for education, for the infrastructure of places, we all know somewhere where there are things,” he said.

It's been two years since the pandemic and now the schools, which were great schools, that were repainted, are going and it's a total loss,” added the daughter of former president Alan García.

The Amor y Fuego host replied to the journalist and indicated that she has not said that her father and the other former presidents have done nothing for Peru, but that during their governments there were several failures in decentralization and the Peruvians most affected were those who live in the most remote areas.

That's why Carlita is not only from this government, unfortunately not enough was done, I haven't said that nobody did anything and that others did more, but in a country, no matter how far away they are, must have the right to an education, say, with water, with drainage, with minimal posture complete medical, but there is no such thing in our country,” he said.
